Milano, Italy — April 1, 2025. The DcomeDesign Association proudly presents the “REVEAL” exhibition, showcasing unprecedented projects and prototypes created by women designers. This significant event, curated by Anty Pansera and organized by Insula delle Rose, will take place from April 8 to April 13, 2025, at the Fabbrica del Vapore, Sala Colonne, Milano. The opening reception is scheduled for Tuesday, April 8, at 6 PM.

In celebration of Milano Design Week 2025, this exhibition aims to highlight the often overlooked contributions of female designers in the field, revealing innovative works that have either never been realized or are soon to be produced. “REVEAL” seeks to illuminate the diversity and richness of women’s ideas in design, offering insights into both historical and contemporary perspectives.

The exhibition is structured around three distinct themes: PAST, PRESENT, and FUTURE.

Cinzia Ruggeri, Bach
Michela & Paolo Baldessari, Appendiabiti
Cinzia Ruggeri, Eva

“REVEAL” revisits designs by historically significant female designers whose works have been forgotten or never brought to life. This includes Gae Aulenti’s Iperbole faucet (1991), which is no longer in production, and unique pieces like the “Simmetria bianca” centerpiece by Carla Venosta from 1984, crafted from pure Carrara marble.

The current phase of design is represented by contemporary designers eager for production. Notable contributions include: Michela and Paolo Baldessari, presenting prototypes of a stylish sideboard and a versatile coat rack; Alice Barki, showcasing three innovative pieces: the Kora armchair that transforms into a chaise longue, the sculptural Alux lamp, and Kelifos, a speaker that merges design with 3D printing technology.

The FUTURE section highlights nascent ideas from students at Italy’s premier design institutes (ISIA). These projects emphasize sustainability and innovation, such as an electric scooter made from carbon fiber waste, and a modular bioreceptivity system for urban environments.

The exhibition will feature interactive demonstrations, including 3D printing sessions with models from Bilcotech. This hands-on aspect encourages visitor engagement and showcases advances in design technology.

“REVEAL” stands as a testament to the pioneering spirit of women in design. By reclaiming the narratives of past designers and promoting the work of contemporary and future talents, this exhibition aims to create a comprehensive dialogue about gender, creativity, and innovation in the design world.

Admission to the exhibition is free, and it will be open daily from April 8 to April 13, with special hours from 11 AM to 8 PM on the opening day, and extended hours from 10 AM to 10 PM from April 9 to 12, concluding with hours from 10 AM to 5 PM on April 13.
