From her beginnings in the vibrant cultural landscape of Minsk to becoming one of the top photographers in Rome, Tatiana Petrouskaya’s artistic journey is a testament to passion, creativity, and the enduring power of storytelling through photography.

A Multifaceted Artistic Path

Tatiana was born into a family that celebrated creativity and expression. Her mother, a geography teacher with a talent for music, and her father, an engineer passionate about photography, instilled in her a love for the arts. This upbringing, combined with years of choir and dance lessons, led Tatiana to pursue a career in music. As a soloist for the National Concert Orchestra of Belarus, she performed popular music, wrote songs, and participated in high-profile competitions, festivals, and television projects like Song of the Year and Dancing with the Stars.

However, after building a successful career as a singer, Tatiana took a step back to focus on her family. Relocating to Belgium for four years, she embraced her role as a wife and mother. But as any creative soul knows, artistry has a way of resurfacing. Upon returning to her roots, Tatiana discovered a new passion: photography.

The Art of Portraiture

Tatiana’s transition to photography was inspired by childhood memories of her father developing film in a darkroom. This nostalgic connection, combined with her natural ability to connect with people, drew her to portrait photography. For Tatiana, capturing a person’s essence through the lens is akin to looking into their soul.

“Photography is a road to the world of human souls and emotions,” Tatiana explains. “The camera captures the moment when a person reveals their heart.”

Her approach combines technical skill, artistic vision, and emotional connection, resulting in striking portraits that reflect her clients’ inner worlds.

A New Chapter in Rome

Now based in Rome, Tatiana has found endless inspiration in Italy’s rich history, stunning architecture, and vibrant culture. From picturesque streets to grand wedding venues, Rome provides the perfect backdrop for her favorite genres: portrait, street, reportage, and wedding photography.

Her work has gained significant recognition, earning her a spot among the top 3% of street photographers and accolades such as Top 100 Photographer Belarus and Top 50 Photographer Minsk by World Awards 35. Her talent has been celebrated in over 30 international magazines, including MALVIE, IMIRAGE, CORAL, STORIES MAGAZINE, and STYLE CRUZE.

Photography as a Force for Good

Tatiana believes that photography is more than an art form—it’s a responsibility. Her images strive to balance reality with beauty and harmony, offering a counterpoint to the noise and chaos of modern life.

“Every person who picks up a camera should feel responsible for what they bring to the world,” she says. “Photography has the power to influence perspectives, opening people to the world of the beautiful.”

A Vision of Life and Emotion

Tatiana’s photography is deeply personal and cinematic, capturing not just moments but the emotions and stories behind them. Her work in Rome continues to push creative boundaries, blending her unique perspective with Italy’s timeless charm.

Whether through wedding shoots, street photography, or intimate portraits, Tatiana Petrouskaya offers her clients a “movie” about their lives and emotions—one frame at a time.

For anyone seeking a photographer with soul, vision, and a touch of magic, Tatiana’s lens is a window to a world of beauty and meaning.
