Sonia & Intensos released today their latest single “Tantas Veces,” recorded at Pana Records under the production of Amílcar Vázquez. This song marks a significant shift in the band’s musical direction, incorporating acoustic guitars reminiscent of artists such as Gustavo Cerati and The Cure, along with musical arrangements that evoke the ’90s, drawing references to bands like Pixies and Garbage. The genre unifies three decades of sound into a single track.

The lyrics of “Tantas Veces” explore pivotal moments in life that require one to navigate decisive situations and learn to let go. The powerful chorus confronts the deepest of emotions. The vocalist abd lead artist is Sonia Chammah. This new single was produced by Sonia Chammah, Amílcar Vázquez, Christian Urriza and released by Instant Feel Recordings, London.

Sonia Chammah began her artistic career in Buenos Aires at the age of 19, leading the all-girls band Isis. She later moved to various countries, including Sweden, Wales, England, Spain, and the United States, enriching her musical development along the way. In 2011, Sonia returned to Argentina and released her first album, “Animal,” featuring contributions from Amílcar Vázquez, Federico Melioli (Hilda Lizarazu Trio), CJ Ramone, and Leo De Cecco (Attaque 77).

Following this, she embarked on an extensive tour across the country, culminating in her second album “Intenso,” which includes a duet with Mariano Martínez (singer and guitarist of Attaque 77) on the track “Bombas de Fuego,” and Daniel Rey (Ramones’ producer) on “Pet Sematary.” The album was mixed by Mario Bruer.

In the summer of 2017, Sonia recorded “Welcome On Board” in Los Angeles for Mosrite Record, produced by Jiro Okabe and Alex Kane. The following year, she recorded “Sentimiento” at Pana Records and Spector, featuring eight songs produced with Amílcar Vázquez and Carlos Vandera. The album included notable guests like Breiti from Die Toten Hosen, CJ Ramone, and members from Attaque 77. It was nominated for the 2019 Carlos Gardel Awards for Best Heavy Rock/Punk Album.

In 2019, Sonia toured Chile and Brazil with her band, Intensos. In 2020, she continued her work as an artist and producer for the La Poderosa Festival Feria, an event that she has successfully directed since 2019, aimed at creating more artistic and professional spaces for women. Sonia Chammah’s “Tantas Veces” is poised to captivate audiences with its fusion of rich musical influences and heartfelt lyrics, embodying a true evolution in her artistic journey.
