Italian music icon Jovanotti has thrilled fans by announcing the release of his highly anticipated new album, Il Corpo Umano (The Human Body), which will arrive on January 31, 2025. This marks his first studio album since Il Disco del Sole in 2022, signaling an exciting new chapter in his storied career.

A Metaphysical Journey with “Montecristo”

The album’s first single, Montecristo, is set to debut this Friday, November 22, accompanied by a stunning official video. Jovanotti has described the song as “imbued with a metaphysical atmosphere,” revealing that it was inspired by his recovery period following surgery a year and a half ago.

“I was listening to the audiobook of The Count of Monte Cristo, a novel I read 15 years ago that deeply fascinated me,” Jovanotti shared. “I found myself identifying with the protagonist—a young man betrayed, who loses everything, including love and his place in society. Alone in a cell, he begins a journey of rebirth. Writing for me is always an exercise, a way to process my experiences. From that feeling of loss and redemption, the lyrics for Montecristo were born.”

A Big Year Ahead

Jovanotti’s excitement is palpable as he prepares for this new release. “Writing these words, I feel my heartbeat quicken,” he said. “Launching new music and projects is an incredible feeling. We have so much to share in the coming months—it’s going to be amazing. Let’s go!”

Il Corpo Umano will be unveiled just weeks before the kickoff of “Palajova”, his highly anticipated arena tour. The tour promises to showcase songs from the new album alongside fan favorites, with Jovanotti already crafting a setlist that will captivate audiences.

Fans of Jovanotti know that his albums are more than just collections of songs—they are immersive journeys filled with introspection, storytelling, and passion. With Il Corpo Umano, he invites listeners into an experience that promises to explore the resilience of the human spirit and the beauty of renewal.
