From December 4 to 8, 2024, the vibrant neighborhood of Trastevere in Rome will host “Leggere Niente Male” [Read Not Bad], a cultural festival dedicated to books, short film screenings, and live performances that delve into history, art, culture, and current events. Organized by the publishing house deiMerangoli, this five-day event will take place at SpaziOgraro, a creative space established by Eleonora Iori aimed at promoting workshops, exhibitions, installations, and market shows.
The festival will feature thematic mornings and afternoons focusing on a variety of subjects including Latin America, poetry, art in its many forms, author comics, sustainable mobility, intolerance and violence—particularly gender-based violence—history (with a special emphasis on the period between the Resistance and the Cold War), and children’s literature. Attendees can also look forward to live connections with Venezuela, Uruguay, and Japan, as well as guided tours and tastings of local wines from “Cantine Volpetti” and “Azienda Mita Vinicio,” accompanied by snacks from Buono&Co.
“Leggere Niente Male” has received the endorsement of Municipio I Roma Centro, ensuring a supportive backdrop for this enriching celebration of literature and social awareness.
