A Musical Journey Rooted in Passion
Born in Germany to emigrant parents, Bruno Caruso found his home in Calabria, where his love for music was sparked at an early age. Starting with piano and later mastering the guitar, Caruso’s dedication to his craft grew steadily. This early passion led him to songwriting, propelling him to move to Rome, where he currently resides, to pursue his musical dreams.
In Rome, Caruso founded his first band, Dukin-Hash, showcasing his talents as a frontman and vocalist in various venues across the capital. His next endeavor was 342-Trequattrodue, a rock cover band, but Caruso’s true calling lay in composing his original music.
From “Aria” to His Debut Album
Caruso debuted his original work with the single “Aria” on September 20, 2018, marking the beginning of an exciting journey as a solo artist. Following its release, he introduced the singles “Con un brivido” in January 2019 and “Qualcosa da Dire” in July 2019, leading up to his much-anticipated debut album, ASSSolutamente, which was released in December 2020.
In the years that followed, Caruso demonstrated his versatility, transitioning to softer melodies with the release of “Penso a te” in May 2022, a heartfelt exploration of love, accompanied by a visually captivating video.
Reinventing a Classic and New Horizons
In January 2024, Caruso took on a new challenge by releasing a cover of Tiziano Ferro’s “Ti scatterò una foto”. With his unique style and emotional depth, Caruso reinterpreted the classic song, bringing fresh energy and perspective to a beloved favorite.
“Mhmhmh”: A Call for Peace
With his latest release, “Mhmhmh”, Bruno Caruso addresses one of the most pressing issues of our time: the devastating impact of war on innocent lives. The video is a profound monologue set against the backdrop of a window overlooking the modern world. Through this lens, Caruso tells the story of those who endure war not by choice, but as victims—children, the innocent, and the voiceless.
The song is more than music; it is a plea for empathy and action. With evocative lyrics and a raw emotional delivery, Caruso challenges viewers to confront the indifference that so often surrounds global tragedies. “Mhmhmh” serves as a reminder that hope and humanity must persist, even in the darkest times.
Bruno Caruso’s “Mhmhmh” invites us all to pause, reflect, and reignite our commitment to compassion. Through his art, he continues to give a voice to the voiceless, shining a light on the resilience of the human spirit.
