On December 8th at 6:00 PM, Incinque Open Art Monti in Rome invites you to an extraordinary evening dedicated to exploring the intersections of contemporary jewelry and art. As the gallery celebrates its commitment to contemporary jewelry in its ongoing exhibition season, it aims to nurture a new wave of artistic expression through sharing and creative exchange.
Incinque Jewels has emerged as a hub for profound reflections on the multifaceted nature of contemporary jewelry and art as a whole, creating a space where creativity thrives in harmony. The gallery’s unique format features “resident” artists and designers who permanently exhibit their works while also hosting temporary, site-specific projects from various disciplines, fostering a continuous dialogue among artistic forms—an integral philosophy of the gallery.
This particular evening will also see the introduction of poetry and singer-songwriter performances. The highlight will be a special presentation of Jonathan Giustini’s new book, “Riserva Idrica” [Water reserve] published by Lepisma Floema Editions. The event will feature a lineup of esteemed artists including Nicola Alesini, Ernesto Bassignano, Pietro Brega, Marcello Fiorini, Oretta Orengo, and Andrea Terrinoni.
“Riserva Idrica: a book of poetry, perhaps. But above all, it is the dialogue between a father and son,” states Giustini. He will read excerpts from the book, interspersed with music and songs from longtime friends and musicians, delivering a performance that taps into the unexpected resources of life.
Jonathan Giustini is not only a journalist and writer with extensive experience in print media, radio, and television but also the author of numerous books covering music, art, cinema, and poetry.
The evening will also feature performances by notable musicians:
- Nicola Alesini, a composer and saxophonist, renowned for his explorations of Mediterranean rhythms and melodies.
- Ernesto Bassignano, a singer-songwriter, journalist, and radio host, known as a pioneer of Italian author music.
- Pietro Brega, an architect and musician, co-founder of the historic Circolo Gianni Bosio and a key figure in the Canzoniere del Lazio.
- Marcello Fiorini, a classical accordionist and composer, recognized for elevating the art of solo accordion performance.
- Oretta Orengo, a singer and guitarist who has toured and recorded extensively, teaching at the Scuola Popolare di Musica di Testaccio.
- Andrea Terrinoni, a composer and pianist with a passion for jazz, classical music, and film scores.
Alongside the performances, attendees will have the opportunity to admire the creations of Incinque Jewels’ resident artists: Simone Vera Bath, Myriam Bottazzi, Simona della Bella, Dettaglidattimi, Elena Donati, Chiara Fenicia, Angela Gentile, Emanuele Leonardi, Paolo Mangano, Maria Patrizia Marra, Matuta, Gaia Piccini, Anna Pinzari, Francesco Ridolfi, Lorella Verrillo, and Marco Verdastro, along with Lavinia Dibilio and Leonardo Funaro.
Jewelry has always been a testament to human creativity and skill, which is continually evolving. In recent times, artists and designers have approached contemporary jewelry not merely as mere adornment but as a communicator of stories and emotions, elevating it to the status of an art form—a true expression of contemporary art.
Join Incinque Open Art Monti in Rome on December 8th for a night where jewelry, poetry, and music intersect, celebrating creativity in its many forms.
